The UW Finance Association (UWFA) is one of the largest clubs on campus and in the Foster Business School community. The UWFA targets younger finance majors but builds an inclusive community by catering to interests across the business landscape through weekly news briefings. Specifically, the UWFA builds upon the skills of financial analysis, industry research, and public speaking. With over 100 active members who participate in offerings twice a week, the UWFA offers a wide variety of activities including the Investment Group, which trains students through professional development programs giving them experience for the real world. As an organization, the UWFA has been recognized by the Dean Frank Hodge of the Foster school as one of the top RSOs in Foster.
The UW Consulting Association (UWCA) is a multifaceted club that specializes in case competitions and experiential learning through its highly selective interview process, which builds a tight-knit community of 60+ members. As an organization, the UWCA encompasses a wide variety of majors both in and outside of the Foster school. The UWCA builds students’ skills in communication and research to garner success in the areas of management, consulting, and technology. The UWCA’s weekly events, including interview prep, professional development, and client engagements, have been recognized by Foster’s Undergraduate Business Council for growth.
